This week’s manufacturer spotlight is Marine Tables. They are a new DesignerInc vendor and we are excited to introduce you to their custom furnishings set amongst the most beautiful backdrops out there!
Let’s start out with learning a bit more about your company. What makes Marine Tables unique?
Marine Tables is a design and manufacturing company located in Savannah, GA. We produce custom and stock furniture including tables, chairs, bars and stools, as well as architectural essentials. Our furniture has a very wide spectrum of settings including marine, aviation, hospitality, commercial, and residential applications.
All our designs are completed in house from sketch to build. Once we design and submit to production we can track and watch the build come to life. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
What is a favorite piece in your collection that designers might not know about?
My personal favorites are our customizable barstool setups. I love the mixed use of wood, metal, upholstery along with the personalized touches such as banding and logos. There are no limitations to wood materials that can be used since we personally guarantee all products with our patented finish.
Who or what inspires you most when coming up with designs?
I am truly inspired by natural exterior environments. Since we specialize in outdoor finishes, bringing the light and color from nature is a great addition to any space. With limited space in marine and aviation, all our furnishings must be multi-functional and well balanced in design.
What is the process behind coming up with new designs/products?
The process is truly the best part! We work in a family-like environment, collaborating is a must to fine tune each detail of the design.
Mostly we work with completed designs, so collaboration and listening to the designer/builder is extremely important. We always listen to our clients’ needs from beginning to end to ensure we exceed all expectations by the owner.
Currently we work with 3D modeling (CAD, Solidworks, Revit, Rhino) / rendering. Once approved we send to production where every detail of the design is handcrafted by traditional woodworkers. Once completed we apply our patented finish which insures durability in the even the harshest environments. Keeping the furnishings beautiful and new.
What is your favorite part about the manufacturing industry?
My favorite part of the manufacturing industry is the people! Knowing that every product that comes through our facility is custom built right here in Savannah GA is truly amazing!
