Jillian O’Neill Collection | Manufacturer Spotlight

Let’s start out by learning a bit more about your company. What makes your brand and products unique?

The Collection is designed by a former interior designer and all handcrafted in Houston, TX. It is very thoughtful and tailored to becoming a backbone of a designer’s library, especially as it grows.

Do you have a favorite piece in your collection or a new item or collection coming that designers might not know about?

Our Jude Sofa is exciting because it is something I wanted to add from the beginning, but it had to be exactly right and have an interest level worthy of producing.

Who or what inspires you most when conceiving of your designs?

My former clients and their spaces and lifestyle.

What is the process behind initiating new designs/products?

I am lucky that it can quickly move from a thought I had, perhaps at 3 am, to a sketch to a prototype thanks to my creative team.

What is your favorite part about the manufacturing process?

Watching a piece come to life with designers’ custom textiles.

Please speak to the custom nature of your lines.

We can customize size, finish and upholstery

Please give us an overview of the more personal side of your business, who’s behind it, how did it come to be, any interesting stories about the origin or the founders you can share?

I am the designer and owner – and really although overall the collection is based on my clients and their homes, it is also very in line with my personal aesthetic. In fact, when I brought the first prototype home (the Emma Bench) my husband said “that is YOU in a piece of furniture”. I think this will help solidify the brand vision even as we grow and move forward.

What is planned for the band through the next year?

Originally we had planned events around the country with our clients. Specifically, pop ups and dinners in NYC and San Francisco. We are still hoping to achieve that this fall, However, as we currently work from home, we are focused on adding new pieces, including some collaborations adding different product offerings to our website.
