I’m not gonna lie… I’ve got a design crush on Robert James Collection. So at the last High Point Market, we sought them out in hopes of getting an interview. We were lucky enough to find Erik Vogt, President and Creative Director, and got caught up about the history of their company and their latest collection.
Robert James Collection, founded four years ago and named after Erik’s two sons’ middle names, Chad Robert and Brandon James, embraces the juxtaposition between organic textures and clean contemporary lines. And in case you weren’t aware, Erik is also the President and Creative Director of Artifacts International, a line most of you will recognize for their outstanding custom furniture founded over thirty-three years ago.
For my own home, I personally purchased several Robert James Collection pieces and have had an incredible experience with custom orders. The quality is amazing, and they will build just about anything for you with a simple line drawing. In fact, CountryLiving.com will soon be doing a photoshoot of my place with some of their pieces in place… but that’s another post I can share with you when it happens.
