October 2021 Communications Week | Fall MKT

We are in the middle of what has been an amazing Fall MKT! We’re looking forward to more brilliant events in celebration of innovative design! Join DesignerInc’s own Céline Derreumaux each day from October 11th to 15th from 2-3pm Eastern. Let’s celebrate the season with delightful interviews and tours. October 11th Johnson Furniture 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time   Please join George Johnson, owner of George Johnson Furniture UK – the man behind a special creation called the expanding circular dining table. After completing a physics degree, George returned to his childhood passion of furniture making and has applied his talents as a true craftsman and woodworker with an ever-expanding collection of innovative products in fine wood species. Join us as George shares more about his journey, giving us an exclusive look into his workshop. He’ll walk us through how each piece is skillfully made to order and share more about the craftsmanship of his fine products. October 12th Maxwell Fabrics 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time   Join Zoë Anderson, Design Director at Maxwell Fabrics, for an exciting conversation exploring new introductions. Zoë will take us on a comprehensive studio tour where we journey with her through the fabrics and into the design process behind the collections. October 13th Stacklab 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time   Please join Jeff Forrest of Stacklab – the Toronto-based, award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio with a varied portfolio of furniture, art objects, installations and architecture. Our own Céline Derremaux will dive deep into craftsmanship and design principles. As a comprehensive design studio that produces innovative and architectural design elements in the industry, Stacklab does not disappoint when it comes to inspiration! October 14th Claire Crowe 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time   Please join Claire Crowe, designer and founder of Claire Crowe Collection, for a lively conversation about the studio’s one-of-a-kind artisanal metal art pieces and fire screens created and inspired by nature. Join us to learn all about how the brand got started. You will experience a comprehensive viewing of the Fall 2021 collection as Claire herself takes us on an exciting tour of the Dallas showroom! October 15th Modernplum 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time   Please join Allison Warren, founder of Modernplum, an artisanal linen company mindful of sustainable resources, waste, recycling of materials, and the overall value of artisan sewing versus assembly line production. Allison has much wisdom to impart when it comes to green production and processes. During the hour, she will share the new Fall 2021 introductions of her American made linen collection. The work of the team at Modernplum honors past, present and future in every stitch!
